The Eternals, immortals, who dwelled outside of Time, referred to mortal beings as Ephemerals, and also regarded them as lesser beings. (DW: Enlightenment) Under certain exceptional circumstances, sometimes against their will, an Eternal may enter the realm of the Ephemerals permanently, prey to age and death. (DWM: Uninvited Guest)
