The Disciples of (the) Light were a highly advanced civilization which, the Beast said, lived before the universe.

Appearance

Pictograms made by the Disciples of Light show them as black, humanoids with white heads. How much of that is simply artistic design is unknown, although many Earth cultures drew similar stick figures with black 'Stick figure' bodies and white heads. (DW: The Satan Pit)

History

The ruins of the Disciples' cavern in Krop Tor.

The Beast said that "before the universe", it was buried on a planet later called Krop Tor. Both the planet and K37 Gem 5, the black hole it orbited, in defiance of known science, served as a prison for the Beast. Their means of maintaining the oribt without obvious technology surpassed even the Doctor's understanding.

Unknown entities, possibly the Disciples, also imprisoned the son of the the Beast, Abaddon, using the Cardiff rift.

After the Beast was sealed away, the Disciples of Light seemed to have disappeared, leaving only shards of pottery and the Galis Expedition notebook. Translations were nearly impossible, since the language (and the alphabet) seem to have no modern decendants. (DW: The Satan Pit)
