Emily Brooke was the daughter of Adelaide Brooke, and the mother of Susie Fontana Brooke. Whilst her mother was on the Bowie Base One on Mars, she called, showing Adelaide, her grandaughter. Her mother was recorded as being killed in the explosion that occured on the base. But due to the Doctor's intervention, he saved her mother, but she later committed suicide.
