Dunkirk

Dunkirk was a port city in northern France.

During World War II, it was the site of the Battle of Dunkirk.

338,000 British Army soldiers were evacuated on boats from the area (TV: Co-Owner of a Lonely Heart) as part of Operation Dynamo. (AUDIO: The Nemonite Invasion)

The First Doctor was present at Dunkirk, (PROSE: Just War, PROSE: Byzantium!) as was the Eighth Doctor. (AUDIO: Fugitives)

When aiding the Sontarans in their battle against an undying force, the Fourth Doctor asked Field Major Lenk "where's your Dunkirk spirit?" (AUDIO: The Eternal Battle)

The Tenth Doctor and Donna Noble prevented a Nemonite from taking possession of those involved in the Dunkirk evacuation. (AUDIO: The Nemonite Invasion)
