Raxacoricofallapatorius was part of a star system that includes its twin planet Clom (DW: Love & Monsters), and was the centre of the four world Raxas Alliance. (SJA: The Gift) The governing bodies were the Grand Council and the Assembly (SJA: Revenge of the Slitheen), with the former led by the Lord Predator. (NSA: The Slitheen Excursion)

It had four poles, marked by ice-caves. (REF: Doctor Who: The Time Traveller's Almanac) Blizzards were common at the poles. (REF: Doctor Who: The Visual Dictionary) The seas were burgundy, bordering sapphire and chalk cliffs. Raxas Prime was the major continental landmass, and many island groups were scattered around, such as the Islands of Hisp. A scent of cinnamon pervaded in the air. Raxacoricofallapatorians built marble cliff-top temples across their world, the largest of which is the Temple of Atonement. (REF: Doctor Who: The Time Traveller's Almanac)

The criminal Slitheen and Blathereen families notwithstanding, the Raxacoricofallapatorians were a generally peaceful race. Raxacoricofallapatorians have limited technology, albeit highly advanced by Earth standards. (REF: Doctor Who: Monsters and Villains)
