Ian Atkins was a prose and audio writer. Following the unfortunate death of Paul Spragg in May 2014, he was also Producer's Assistant at Big Finish Productions. He wrote four Short Trips stories and a Companion Chronicle.
In 2014, he became range producer on Big Finish's Subscriber Short Trips range, followed in 2015 by taking over from producer David Richardson on The Companion Chronicles range starting with the ninth series, and from producer Michael Stevens on the monthly Short Trips range starting with the sixth series. He stepped off the position after the conclusion of the eighth series' monthly releases.
