Robson was the head of a Euro Sea Gas refinery. He refused to believe that the base was under attack by the Weed Creature, stubbornly insisting that the problems the refinery was experiencing was due to a mechanical fault. He believed the Doctor was a saboteur, and wouldn't listen to Harris's and Van Lutyens's advice to shut off the gas supply.
