Inspector Hetton was a detective placed on the case of Gordon Seavers. He was injured in the Scotland Yard bombings. He lost three fingers, received a scar on one cheek and developed a fear of alarm clocks. He was an extremely competent detective, but these injuries prevented him from being promoted.
