Lt. Commander Henry Clarke was a member of the Naval Intelligence Division. (AUDIO: Criss-Cross) He married Constance in uniform and with wilting daffodils due to it being wartime. (AUDIO: The Behemoth)
Henry was posted to special duties in November 1943. (AUDIO: Criss-Cross) In autumn of 1944, Constance was informed by telegram that Henry was lost in action, in a classified operation code-named "Quicksilver".
He had an affair with and married Ana Cook, who became pregnant with his child. Constance later believed he was involved with the recently-married Flip Jackson. (AUDIO: Quicksilver)
