Maurice Matheson was the father of Rex Matheson. He lived in California and carried a shotgun around with him. When Rex went to Los Angeles in 2011, he visited Maurice. Rex noticed that he had stolen PhiCorp drugs and stored them in his flat. He didn't want to live forever. (TV: Escape to LA)
