Mickey Smith was Rose Tyler's boyfriend. (TV: Rose, etc.) they were boyfriend and girlfriend at the start of season one until Rose follows the doctor to become his companion. Rose is infatuated with him and eventually falls in love with him. The doctor loves her too and considers her as his girlfriend (confirmed by David Tennant the tenth doctor) he claims that he loved Rose so much because she reawakened the light in him.
