Ginger was a male human teenager originally from Huddersfield. Homeless, he lived in the wastelands of 21st century London, where he had befriended an older man named Tommo. On Christmas Eve 2009, a man in a black hoodie began talking with them. Ginger never said anything except, "Hold on, you look like that bloke, Harold Saxon, the one that went mad".
