Alison is a galaxy the Doctor named.
It is unknown in what year but within his own timeline, it was between the events of (DW: The Waters of Mars) and (DW: The End of Time). It was briefly referenced to at the beginning of the latter, in a list of things the Doctor told Ood Sigma he had done before coming. It is most likely he named it after a girl named Alison that he had met at one point .
