Defarge

Defarge was a character from A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens.

At one point in the book, Jacques One requested that the Mender of Roads wait outside. Defarge obliged, and left him seated at the top of the stairs in an adjacent room. When he rturned, Jacques One, Jacques Two and a hungry man had risen to discuss their plans. The three men and Defarge agreed: "The château and all the race".
