The Black Hole of Tartarus was a black hole hazard to spacecraft, located between Earth and the planet Mogar in the Perseus arm of the Mutter's Spiral galaxy.

In 2986, Bruchner tried to hijack the spaceliner Hyperion III and drive it straight into the eye of the Black Hole of Tartarus, in order to extinguish the Vervoids on board, but his attempt was thwarted. (TV: Terror of the Vervoids)
