Von Weich was the name used by a War Lord posing as a major in the German Army in their simulated version of World War I. He used his "monocle" to implant suggestions into the minds of his subordinates. (TV: The War Games) When he posed as a captain in the version of the American Civil War, he used the name Beauregard Lee. (PROSE: The Eight Doctors) He tried to capture the Second Doctor and his allies, but was himself taken prisoner by the resistance. He was shot and killed by Private Moor after von Weich failed to hypnotise him. (TV: The War Games)
