Charlie Dove

Charlie Dove worked at the Thames Ironworks and Shipbuilding Company and played for their affiliated football club Thames Ironworks F.C., which would later become known as West Ham F.C.

On 20 April 1896, Dove was due to play in Thames' first cup final, the 1896 Charity Cup Final against Barking. Shortly before the match, the players encountered the Thirteenth Doctor, Graham O'Brien, Yasmin Khan, and Ryan Sinclair. The Doctor helped them to enter the Thames Ironworks factory, allowing them to complete their training session - which Graham took part in. Afterwards, Graham handed Dove his West Ham pin, leaving Graham convinced that the anachronism would end up naming his favourite club.

That day, the players won the final 1-0, bringing home the first piece of silverware in the club's history. (PROSE: The Simple Things)
