Pazithi bats were a species of bat native to Gallifrey, known for their poor eyesight.
Danna, a Gallifreyan military strategist and mentor to many young Time Lords taught Irving Braxiatel how to shoot down a whole flock of Pazithi bats with a single bullet while blindfolded. Many years later when the pair were reunited at the Time Lord research station in the Obscura, Braxiatel compared a seriously injured bat who seemed unable to see to a crippled Pazithi bat.
