"Alone in the Desert" was a musical piece composed by Murray Gold.
It was used in the Series 4 special Planet of the Dead, as the Tenth Doctor and the other passengers of the 200 bus assess their surroundings on San Helios. The piece is reminiscent of Luke's Theme from Star Wars, alluding to the similarities between San Helios and Tatooine.
The piece is featured on Murray Gold's soundtrack Doctor Who: Series 4 - The Specials.
