Andrew Ireland directed and produced the 2019 re-creation of Mission to the Unknown created by the University of Central Lancashire of which Ireland was the Students & Teaching Pro-Vice Chancellor.
Prior to becoming the S&TPVC at UCLan, he studied Media Production at Bournemouth University, and then initially joined the university as dean of the school of journalism and communication.
In 2020, he also wrote and directed the Doctor Who: Lockdown! webcast Sven and the Scarf.
