Professor Brendan Trainor (1916-1970) was a human scientist at Cambridge.
He was in charge of the British Rocket Group's unmanned mission to Uranus and Neptune. He came into contact with the Waro, who he thought were friendly and would rescue the Nedenah held on Earth. When he found out the Waro were actually hostile, he helped the Third Doctor to defeat them, but died in the process. A year later, the Trainor Foundation building was completed at Cambridge and opened by Liz Shaw. (PROSE: The Devil Goblins from Neptune)
