Carter was one of the troopers who accompanied Lieutenant Scott in investigating the attack on Professor Kyle's expedition in 2526.
He nearly saw the Neomorph Cybermen's androids when he heard a movement behind them shortly after entering a cave system. He and Bailey were selected by Sergeant Mitchell to accompany her in investigating the death of Snyder, Baines and Collis. Carter found Snyder's remains but shortly after the three of them were confronted and killed by the Cyberman androids. (TV: Earthshock)
