The Chernobyl disaster happened in 26 April 1986. Following a core meltdown, (PROSE: The Nuclear Option) the entire region became uninhabitable. (COMIC: Black Destiny, AUDIO: Power Play) Thousands of firefighters died trying to put out the blaze, (PROSE: The Nuclear Option) and 40,000 people died of cancer as a result of the disaster.
