Cowled figures passed through the Rift into a building in Cardiff. They wore robes and carried scythes. They manifested themselves at the Central IT Server Building and went on a killing spree. When they encountered Toshiko Sato and Ianto Jones, they ranted about them worshiping heathen gods and attacked, but were simply shot dead. (TV: Exit Wounds)
