Geoffrey Orme (10 June 1904-21 January 1978[1]) wrote the Doctor Who television story The Underwater Menace. Orme had previously submitted a storyline entitled The Evil Eye but it was rejected. His writing career dates back to 1936, and Doctor Who was one of his last writing jobs for TV.

Born in 1904, Orme was the oldest writer to ever work on Doctor Who.
