Harold V was a Killjoy who had been Helen A's gag writer and was then called Harold F.

After his brother disappeared, Harold investigated and discovered that several other people had also disappeared, which prompted him to attempt to contact Terra Omega for help. However, he was captured by the Happiness Patrol and taken to a waiting zone, where he was degraded to Harold V.

He was present at the waiting zone when the Seventh Doctor and Ace were arrested. He was playing a fruit machine when Helen A used the machine to electrocute Harold, killing him. (TV: The Happiness Patrol)
