Hope Cove Bunker was a secret bunker built in 1952, and was designed to shelter local officials in the event of a Soviet nuclear strike on nearby Plymouth. The 30,000 sq ft shelter boasted heavy steel blast doors and had its own generator which was built to provide enough heat and light to keep up to 150 people safe for several months. The sprawling network of rooms were kitted out as bedrooms, living spaces and mess rooms so that the administration could continue running the region even after a nuclear strike.
It was considered by Lance Corporal Sally Wright as a possible destination for the reanimated Staff Sergeant Albert Arnold. (PROSE: The Forgotten Son)
