India were the national cricket team representing the country of India. In January 1982, they engaged England in three test matches, held in Calcutta, Chennai and Kanpur. All three matches resulted in a draw, (AUDIO: Divine Intervention) to the Fifth Doctor's disappointment when he read about this in a newspaper that year at Heathrow Airport, Terminal One.
