Gaz, who had been around since the 1960s, was an Invasion of Earth era Dalek. He was once asked by his friend about the differences between his kind and the Dead Planet variant. He responded that the Invasion of Earth Daleks had satellite television while the Dead Planet Daleks did not, something he thought was obvious. (NOTVALID: Doctor Who? 168)
