Naxios was a colony planet in the Naxial system, originally affiliated with the Earth Empire.

In the 59th century, worshippers of William Shakespeare ran living silver mines that they forced a religious minority to mine. (AUDIO: Blood on Santa's Claw) Joe Carnaby had the Sixth Doctor's TARDIS arrive on the planet to liberate said minority, causing extraction of the silver to cease. (AUDIO: Brightly Shone The Moon That Night)
