Sir Percival Flint was the owner of a tin mine in Cornwall and an amateur archaeologist. He was the ancestor of Sir Archibald Flint.

In 1783, when Flint attempted to excavate the tombs at Lanyon Moor, a diabolic, shrieking wind drove his workers away. (AUDIO: The Spectre of Lanyon Moor)

In 1793, when Flint attempted to excavate Devil's Hump, his miners ran back to Cornwall, leaving him for dead. (TV: The Dæmons)
