Ronnu Thanjess was the brother of Briak Thanjess. They ran a used spaceship business together. When Ronnu stole the Tenth Doctor's parked TARDIS and sold it to the dangerous criminal Ludo Farltrati, his brother was beaten up because it didn't work. Ronnu had to go with Ludo. When the Doctor and Heather McCrimmon turned up and fixed the TARDIS, a short trip into the future led him to being arrested by the police, along with Ludo, but he was grateful for still being alive.
