Peter Anthony Dalton was a male Human who supposedly worked as a lawyer but was saved by the Trickster when he fell down the stairs, who he believed to be an angel. Presumably at the Trickster's request, Peter seduced Sarah Jane Smith. They met at a shop and he gave her his phone number. Sarah Jane didn't use it, but when they met again she thought that for once she could live a normal life. They began dating, though she didn't tell her family and friends.
