Hesperus was a human colony planet, one of many where a colony was prepared by Mechonoids but subsequently forgotten, and humans never arriving.
At some point, possibly circa 4000, Daleks and reprogrammed Movellans arrived on Hesperus and fought the Mechanoids. (PROSE: War of the Daleks)
