Vampires are fictional blood-sucking half-Human monsters. Vampire legends exist on at least 17 planets and were inspired by the Great Vampires of the Dark Times.

Lore

Vampire legends on Earth and other planets were inspired by the ancient Great Vampires. The Doctor mentions that legends state that vampires can only be killed by a stake to the heart. They also can't cross running water and are injured by sunlight. Whether these are true or just myths is unknown. (DW: State of Decay)

A historical vampire called Dracula was represented as a robot at the Festival of Ghana. (DW: The Chase)

Vampire-like creatures

The Great Vampires from the Dark Times inspired vampire legends on Earth. (DW: State of Decay)

When Humans are transformed into Haemovores, they become vampire-like. (DW: The Curse of Fenric)

Plasmavores act a lot like vampires. (DW: Smith and Jones)

Axos is "a space-vampire". (DW: The Claws of Axos)

The Three Who Rule are Humans who were made vampire-like by the Great Vampires. (DW: State of Decay)
