Atonal, or Water Sun was a man from Xochimilco who after reaching his fifty second year looked for ways to live longer and came across a Celestis in the form of Huemac, Greatness-In-His-Hand, who offered him thirteen years of life for his service in death. He later decided to renege on the deal, asking Momacami and the Ixtilque to save him. They attempted to do so, but were unable. He then later found himself in Mictlan where he gave information to Goralschai that prompted him to create the Quincunx. (PROSE: Against Nature)
