Tweed was a form of fashion invented on Europe during the Victorian era.

The Doctor wore tweed jackets during his sixth (Audio: Criss-Cross), seventh (TV: Doctor Who) and eleventh incarnations (TV: The Eleventh Hour, onwards). He also wore tweed trousers during his fourth (TV: Robot) and seventh incarnations. (TV: Time and the Rani)
