Captain Ola was Chief of Police on a human colony secretly ruled by Macra.
He captured Medok, who had escaped his medical treatment. He encountered the Second Doctor and his companions when they arrived at the colony. When Medok escaped with the Doctor's help, Ola recaptured Medok. He arrested the Doctor and Jamie after the Doctor sabotaged the colony's mind control devices. He brought them and Polly to the mines to work.
