References

  • Sam Kirk (no e) is the name of Captain James T. Kirk's brother. As this is a fairly common name, it is debatable whether this is a reference.

Story notes

  • The Selachians previously appeared in the Second Doctor novel PDA: The Final Sanction, also written by Steve Lyons.
  • Steve Lyons is also the author of BFA: Colditz and the original creator of the character of Klein.
  • Lloyd McGuire played Lugo in The Face of Evil.
  • Lenora Crichlow played Cheen in Gridlock.
  • Klein has managed to bring about the defeat of the Sontarans and the Daleks in her new reality. Dalek technology has been integrated into the Reich ships.
  • It is unknown to what extent the events of this audio drama alter the events of the previous stories involving Klein. Her absence must have changed things quite drastically. The "new" Klein does mention the Doctor's visits to Kenya in 1953 and Colditz Castle in 1944, so the events of Colditz and A Thousand Tiny Wings must not have been completely erased.
