Meredith Vieira (The Wedding of River Song) - the Doctor Who website credits Meredith as playing herself.
Talk about it here.
A news anchor reported on the return of the Holy Roman Emperor to Buckingham Palace in an alternate timeline. (TV: The Wedding of River Song)
Behind the scenes
- Meredith Vieira, co-host of the American morning news/chat programme Today, filmed her cameo during a visit to the Upper Boat Studios as part of a profile of Doctor Who produced for Today. That feature, which aired on 9 May 2011, contained several minor spoilers for this episode, including revealing the cameo appearances by Richard Hope as Malohkeh and Ian McNeice as Winston Churchill.
- The news anchor was not identified by name in The Wedding of River Song, but the Doctor Who website, however, credits Meredith Vieira as portraying herself in the episode.[1]
