The First Doctor handbook notated that (contrary to what many fans may think) the final title for the first story of Doctor Who that used by the production team at the time of original transmission was 100,000 BC. Not the title of An Unearthly Child. Thus, I would like to notate here my desire to remove 100,000 BC from this list as it is not at all correct to call it a working title - working titles when it comes to these earlier stories are titles that the production team opted not to use in reference to the given story by the time that production was completed.

But as this story was infact entitled as such internally by the production team on broadcast, retroactive fan references to it as AUC do not then make it a working title. (Something that DWM's always been rather firm on making a point about too.) The title is already noted on the Disputed Story Titles, which is a far better placement for it.

The 100,000 BC debacle[[edit]]

The preceding unsigned comment was added by JDPManjoume (talk • contribs) .
