Template:John Benton counterparts Sergeant John Benton was the version of Benton who lived on the alternate Earth ruled by the Silurians. During his time fighting them, Benton had become bitter and hateful towards the Silurians.
In 1993, he led an expedition to London to acquire medical supplies for Jo Grant. After her death, the Brigadier ordered him to retrieve the other half of Computer Control Related Missile Launch Protocol Manual from its hiding place in Whitehall instead.
