Shaanxi was a province in central China. Xi'an was located there, along with the Mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang and Sui Lim. The First Doctor visited the mausoleum in 1865, alongside his companions Barbara Wright, Ian Chesterton and Vicki Pallister as they battled a resurrected version of Qin Shi Huang, brought back by the Mandragora Helix.
