Executive Action was the main story published in The Daredevils Vol 1 #5 and cover-dated May 1983. It featured the first appearance of the Special Executive characters Wardog, Zeitgeist and Cobweb since Black Sun Rising.
The Special Executive's appearance was foreshadowed in the previous issue with an announcement being seen in a shop window reading "COMING SOON Saturyne & the Special Executive". Their story arc with Captain Britain lasted until the eleventh issue.
