LEGO 21304 Doctor Who was a 10+ LEGO set released under the LEGO Ideas theme. The set consisted of 625 pieces, one sticker sheet, and five minifigures (seven if the two Dalek builds are counted). The set was designed by Andrew Clarke and Sam Johnson.

Despite the set reaching the 10,000 required supporters on the LEGO Ideas program, the set underperformed, and the LEGO Doctor Who theme never recieved further sets.[2]

Notes

The proposed set on LEGO Ideas.
  • The proposed set had a large number of differences with the final product.
    • Instead of the Eleventh Doctor, Twelfth Doctor, and Clara Oswald minifigures included, the proposed set included the Fourth Doctor, the Tenth Doctor, and Rose Tyler.
    • Addtionally, the set would've included K9 and a Cyberman; these were presumably excluded from this set as they were included in the LEGO Dimension sets based on Doctor Who.
    • The TARDIS was slightly smaller, a lighter shade of blue, and came with a small diorama of Totter's Lane.
    • The interior of the proposed set and the final set were the most similar, though the design was revised somewhat.
  • The TARDIS interior can be connected to the TARDIS exterior, by opening the back side of the TARDIS and clicking in the detachable interior console room.
Minifigures.com "Thirteenth Traveller" custom minifigure.
  • On Twitter, Christel Dee shared an image of a custom LEGO Thirteenth Doctor minifigure (made by Minifigures.com) and a minifigure of herself, displayed on the TARDIS console room included in this set.[5] The Thirteenth Doctor pictured has since been revised slightly to include more detail and make the breasts less prominent.[6]

Footnotes

  1. LEGO® Ideas 21304 Doctor Who Set on The Doctor Who Site
  2. The LEGO Dimensions sets were released concurrently with this set.
  3. Treated as minifigures despite them not being built from minifigure parts.
  4. Despite this being too large for minifigure scale, it is treated as being compatible with minifigures. A true minifigure scale TARDIS is seen in LEGO Dimensions, however this design was never released as part of a set.
The TARDIS build in this set was also inaccurate as there were only six indented "panels" on each face of the box as opposed to eight.
