He also played himself in Summer Scene, a 1992 Doctor Who parody short, where he attempted to convince the BBC to cast him as the new Doctor before being tasked with capturing two escaped Daleks, also encountering Elisabeth Sladen along the way. He was depicted as owning a fully-functional TARDIS of his own, distinct from the Doctor's TARDIS.
