Anna was a human who lived with Jón in a remote house somewhere in the Arctic Circle. The two lived a quiet life; they were the keepers of a seemingly alien beacon, but they had been promised that it would most probably never activate. Eventually, it did; Anna chose to break the beacon with a hammer and, if questioned, pretend that she and Jón had never received the signal.
Unbeknownst to herself, Anna was a human form containing the powerful being Azure, (TV: The Halloween Apocalypse) who had her identity erased by the Division for her role in the Siege of Atropos. (TV: Once, Upon Time) The night after the beacon went off, Swarm, Azure's brother, entered the house and killed Jón in their bed.
