Dimensional transporters were metal discs with yellow activation buttons which allowed a person (if the walls of time were down) to teleport themselves from universe to universe. They could also teleport great distances and through the Void.
When the Cybermen made their way into the Doctor's universe through a crack in the Void, they began a plan to invade it and convert Humanity into Cybermen. Mickey Smith had followed them through, leading the way for others such as Jake Simmonds, Pete Tyler and the Preachers to follow, and help defeat the Cybermen. This would later become known as the Battle of Canary Wharf. Pete later used a transported to save his daughter from being pulled into the Void. (DW: Army of Ghosts / Doomsday)
Rose travelled from Pete's World to the Doctor's universe during the Dalek invasion of Earth, hoping to the find the Doctor. Mickey and Jackie also followed Rose, and saved Sarah Jane Smith from a squad of Daleks. (DW: The Stolen Earth/ Journey's End)
Known users
- It is unknown who invented the dimensional transporters.
It is interesting to note that the Dimensional Transporters seemed more powerful in Doomsday then in The Stolen Earth and Journey's End, as Rose was able to "beam" back to the Doctor's world within seconds, whereas in Journey's End, it required a 30 minute warm up period.
