Silver Crow was a member of the Sioux tribe. In 1905 he accompanied Nathaniel Whitlock back to Suffolk, where he became his servant. In October 1911, he saved the Fifth Doctor and Nyssa from a lion. He later insisted on accompanying the Doctor to his "aeroplane" to protect him, and was amazed by the TARDIS.

When he was eighteen winters old, Silver Crow danced the Ghost Dance in accordance with the traditions of his tribe. While dancing, he fell into a trance and was gifted the Moonflesh by what he believed to be the great spirit Wakan Tanka. In 1911, he told the Doctor about the Moonflesh.

After moving to Suffolk, Phoebe Whitlock considered him to be "very much a part of the family." He used herbs while meditating as a way of connecting with his tribe. (AUDIO: Moonflesh)
