Series 2 of Class was partially planned by Patrick Ness, but was ultimately never produced, this was because BBC Three did not renew the show for a second series.
According to Ness, the series' main theme would be "deals with the devil", including a resolution to April's storyline, exploring how she was going to get her own body back after her consciousness had been transferred to Corakinus's body, and an exploration of Charlie's future. A future version of Charlie, who had "lost his soul" to save Matteusz, was planned to appear.
Unlike the first series, which was written entirely by Ness, series 2 of Class would feature several writers, including Juno Dawson, Derek Landy, and Kim Curran.
Curran pitched about 10 ideas to Ness, out of which they were most excited by Time Capsule. Landy's story would deal with the Internet, fame and "fan entitlement". Dawson's script would take Tanya on a "Ferris Bueller" type adventure exploring her identity outside of the constraints of her life so far, with talks of her possibly being pansexual or bisexual.
The series was also going to explore the Weeping Angels' home planet as well as see a Weeping Angel civil war unfold.[1][2]
